Francisco Javier Frutos-Esteban

Francisco Javier Frutos-Esteban is a Professor of Audiovisual Communication and Advertising in the Faculty of Social Sciences (University of Salamanca, USAL) and has also been a director of the University Master’s Degree in Research in Audiovisual Communication of the Faculty of Social Sciences (USAL), director of the MBA in Cultural Companies and Institutions (USAL and José Ortega-Gasset & Gregorio Marañón Foundation of Madrid). He is currently academic secretary of the University Institute of Educational Sciences (IUCE) of the USAL, Principal Investigator of the Recognized Research Group Academic Culture, Heritage and Social Memory (CaUSAL), and the Di(ver)sidades Collection: Photo-ethnography Project and Coeducation funded by the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality and the State Department for Equality and the Institute of Women (35/9ACT/21). He was one of the Spanish principal investigators of the European A Million Pictures: Magic Lantern Slide Heritage as Artifacts in the Common European History of Learning Project (AMP) (JPI Cultural Heritage 2015-2018). Currently Frutos-Esteban is part of the team of researchers on the projects Educational and Scientific Challenges of the Second Spanish Republic: Internationalization, Popularization and Innovation in Universities and Secondary Schools an active R+D+i project of the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities; Curiositas: Espreitar antes da Realidade Virtual.
